Hello! What a crazy month September has been, am I right?
If you are from Orlando, you know what I’m talking about. The hurricane came through and turned a small city that runs like clock work into a debris-ridden tourist town with all the attractions shut down.
I was out of work for 3 days, I had 5 consecutive days off and was bored out of my mind, trying to find any place that had gas or WiFi.
Ok, it wasn’t THAT bad, but we were also out of power for almost 8 whole days. That was a little stressful…
After the storm, things picked up at my second job, and since I had missed out on money due to the hurricane, I seized the opportunity to work what I could.
Then the realization of MOVING hit me. My boyfriend and I also had to start packing and running around doing things for our new home. Now, here we are, at the end of the month in the thick of it all.
We spent the first night in our new home last night and the only beer in the fridge I had was this:
Spook Hill by Red Cypress Brewery.
It claims to be a nice, fresh pale ale with citrus and mango notes.
Truthfully, my first impression was straight hops, and I couldn’t really taste anything else.
Perhaps it was because I burnt my tongue on the Domino’s pizza we were eating on our makeshift table and I didn’t give a shit anymore.
All I can say is, I tried. I tried to taste everything in this beer and I couldn’t.
The good news is I will try this again and give you an update on it WITHOUT a burnt tongue.
Happy Saturday! 😁
