Best Christmas Sugar Cookies

It’s that time of year again–that time of year to eat all the junk food and indulge until the point that your pants get tight.

Can’t be holly jolly if you don’t eat a lil’ sugar, am I right?

After browsing Pinterest (if you aren’t following me, you should), I found a very easy sugar cookie recipe to follow that doesn’t require you to chill the dough overnight.

I will admit, though, chilling it overnight/for about 8 hours will help the shape of the cookies stay in place and be more stable as you cut out cookies to bake.

Here’s the recipe (it’s not mine):

Here’s a couple of photos of how mine turned out below. Baking them at 11 minutes seemed to be the perfect texture–not too crunchy, and not too soft!

This recipe is also very basic, and most of the ingredients are probably already sitting in your pantry.

Using a snowflake cookie stamp can add festive details.

Finished cookies!

I think y’all will love these simple sugar cookies and the BEST way to make them pretty is to buy a cookie stamp! It elevates their appearance so much. You are guaranteed to impress friends and family over the holidays by using a stamp.

Like I previously stated, you do not have to chill the dough; however, sitting it in the fridge for even 30 minutes will help the cookies get a nice, clean cut.

I even sprinkled some confectioners sugar over top of the snowflakes just to add some texture. You could also sprinkle cinnamon sugar over top if you don’t want to use icing or actual sprinkles.

I can’t remember where my cookie cutters came from, but I believe I got the mini Christmas cookie cutter set from Walmart. The cookie stamp is from Michael’s.

Hope y’all are having a great start to the holiday season, cheers!
